چکیده

Preparation of glucosamine hydrochloride from the chitin horseshoe crab shells using chemical hydrolysis method has been done HCl concentration variation ratios 7%, 9%, 11%,14 % with a ratio 9:1 (v/w) for 4 hours at temperature 90ºC. Determination characteristics was characterized Fourier transform-infra red (FT-IR) spectroscopy, in which obtained OH group were 3446 cm-1 (s), 3448 3450 respectively. For NH 1557 1559 1556 1560 CN 1379 (m), While glycoside bond 1073 (w), 1074 Ultraviolet Spectrophotometer analysis maximum wavelength 197 nm standard solution N-acetyl phosphate acid 0.005%, 7% = 33.67 ppm, 9% 36.35 11% 40.16 14% 43.97 ppm.

Production of Glucosamine Hydrochloride from Crustacean Shell

The use of chitin as raw material to obtain glucosamine hydrochloride at laboratory level was investigated. Chitin was extracted from shrimp shells by deproteinization, demineralization and depigmentation. Afterwards, glucosamine hydrochloride was produced in four main stages: (1) acid hydrolysis of chitin with 12 M hydrochloric acid using the reflux technique; (2) filtration of the solution to...

De Novo Assembly and Characterization of Early Embryonic Transcriptome of the Horseshoe Crab Tachypleus tridentatus

The horseshoe crab Tachypleus tridentatus is a unique marine species and a potential model for marine invertebrate. Limited genomic and transcriptional data are currently available to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the embryonic development of T. tridentatus. Here, we reported for the first time the de novo transcriptome assembly for T. tridentatus at embryonic developmental sta...

Reaction of Bacillus subtilis products with amebocyte lysates of the Japanese horseshoe crab, Tachypleus tridentatus.

Autoclaved aqueous extracts of Candida albicans cells (and the glucans isolated from them) give a positive reaction with a chromogenic substrate combined with amebocyte lysates of the Japanese horseshoe crab, Tachypleus tridentatus (CS-TAL). The extracts and glucans activate the lysate enzyme compound G, which in turn activates clotting enzyme. Activated clotting enzyme causes a positive CS-TAL...

Tachyplesin, a class of antimicrobial peptide from the hemocytes of the horseshoe crab (Tachypleus tridentatus). Isolation and chemical structure.

A cationic peptide, designated tachyplesin, was isolated from acid extracts of horseshoe crab (Tachypleus tridentatus) hemocyte debris. It consists of 17 residues and the structure determined by Edman degradation is: (formula; see text) The carboxyl-terminal end of this peptide was identified as arginine alpha-amide, and the whole sequence including the alpha-amide was also confirmed by fast at...
